Killa Kans

I have been busy this month helping my wife with her side business and still trying to get some painting done.  I finished my three Killa Kans for my army and I am real happy with the way they turned out.  With these out of the way I should be able to finish my Big Meks for my army.

I decided to take a family photo of all my Killa Kans for fun.  The first photo is of the 5 Killa Kans that I will be running in my army.

The second shot is of the 7 Killa Kans that I have painted.  One is an old metal Killa Kan painted in black and the other one is chipped up and I was not happy with the way it turned out but if I need another Killa Kan these will still work out.

Painting Yellow

I put together some more models to get painted this month.  I will be painting up 3 more Killakanz and 3 Big Meks that will all be have Kustom Force Fields.

I broke out the airbrush an got busy getting the models primed and base coated.  I went with a black primer and Vallejo Middlestone and US Interior Yellow.

Once I finished the base coat the KillaKanz were washed with Vallejo Mecha Dark Rust.

I then dry brushed the models with Vallejo US Interior Yellow and highlighted with Vallejo Flat Yellow.  Now I will pull out the details and get the bases done.  Below are different models from base coat to high light.

Dreadtober Completion

I finished my Morkanaut for Dreadtober.  I have over 20 hours working on this model and spent most of the month on it.  I wanted to finish some Killakanz however I got sick and lost a week of painting.  I am going to call him Punishment a good friend of the Punisher.

It was a great model to paint using my airbrush to do the bast coats and I pulled out all the details with a brush.  I had to make some tough decisions not to get carried away with all the details.  Now that this model is done I need to get busy with my Killakanz.
