Some More Vikings

2015 started out with me painting Vikings for Saga and I will finish 2015 still painting Vikings for Saga.  I played a lot of Sage in 2015 and really enjoy the game.  My first army was made up of WarGame Factory models and didn't like the way they looked on the table.  I have slowly been repainting some miniatures I picked up from my friend Tom.  The army will be made up of different manufactures but will look great when it is done.  I still have 8 more models that need to be repainted but for now these 6 are finished.

I am sure we will continue to play Saga in 2016 and I have the 4Ground Great Hall to build.  What was I thinking when I ordered that..........

AWI and Thunder Alley

Earlier this year I started to paint some AWI in 18mm for Black Powder.  I painted up some units but never based them.  I took some time last night to bases these up.

I also received my bases so I could base my cars for Thunder Alley.  I am looking forward to getting this game on the table.

Beyond the Gates of Antares

So I finished painting the Ghar from the stater set of Beyond the Gates of Antares.  This is a new game from Warlord Games.  This was one of the games that I have been watching since 2014 and it is finally a reality.  My buddy Tim and I both purchased starter sets and exchanged the Concord and Gar forces so we could build up our armies.  While at the shop the owner gave us his store copy of the game so we could play test it at his shop, so we ended up with three copies of the game.  The models I painted are going to be used for the game demos at the game store.  I will say these models were fun to plaint and I am sure this game will see some table time in 2016.

Wrapping Up 2015

Every year around this time I look at my work bench and see all the projects I started and didn't finish.  This year is no different however not that many projects on my bench.

I have a few more models for my Saga Army to finish.  Saga really grabbed my attention this year and I look forward to playing more of it in 2016.

My Bolt Action Army is a recent project but still needs a few models to complete it.  This army is for an event taking place in 2016.

I started an army for American War of Independance.  This is an 18mm army andnI only painted up a few units but never based them.  So these will need to be based and added to my collection.  This is a long term project with now rush to finish, just get a few units done now and a gin and one day the army will be done.

This week I am trying to finish my Ghar for Beyond the Gates of Antares.  This is a new game from Warlord Games and I was not interested in at first but after watching some videos and reading some reviews Indecided to give it a try.  I am playing the Ghar and they run around in battle suits.  I will be posting more about this game in 2016 after I find some time to play the game.

Those are the only projects not finished on my bench, for me that is not bad.  I do have some big plans for 2016 with a few new games and some of my old favorites.
