Say Goodbye to 2012

As the seconds pass by we get closer to the end of the year.  I want to thank everyone that has followed my blog during the year and has taken the time to drop me a comment now and again.  I am not going to recap what I did in 2012, it was a year of lost gaming for me.  I spent a lot of time looking for a new game to replace Lord of the Rings.  Since GW made changes in the army books and the rules many of my fellow gamers and I lost interest in the game.  This was our main game and we all enjoyed playing it.  So with that said, I am not going to reflect on 2012 because there is not much to reflect on.  I decided I will talk about what is in store for 2013.

2013 is going to start off with a painting challenge.  My gaming buddies and I have really taken a liking to Bolt Action.  If you want to read more about the painting challenge check out this link.  In shot, it is a four month painting challenge painting 250 points a month. I will be painting up some American Infantry.

This game has resurfaced at the local game shop.  Many of the 40K gamers that play on Fridays have switch over to this game.  This was good for me because I already have a Circle Orboros force.  So this game will see some table time this year.  I will not get any paint on the models until after the painting challenge.

This is a game that sparked my interest towards the end of 2012.  I still want to focus on this game and continue painting my force that I picked up.  I also want to give this game a run in a larger scale.  I really like the army building in this game, you build your own army from the ground up.  They just recently released a final copy of these rules and it looks great.  I was only able to get one game in during 2012 with the old rules, can't wait to play this game with the new rules.

I will be the first to admit, I have gotten lazy when it comes to my blog page.  I have gotten into the habit of just posting up pictures of finished models.  I am going to start adding more content to my posts to make them more interesting to read.  I am also going to talk more about products and write about my painting style.

I will be taking a serious look at my collection of miniatures.  Over the years I have accumulated a lot of models and some of these miniatures are just sitting in boxes.  I just need to take a closer look at the games I play and the models I have collected.  I am not sure if I am going to sell off my collections or just look at them, I just know I need to do something with everything I have collected.

So this is my road map to 2013.  As always it is just a plan and does not mean I will not go a different direction.  That is why we like gaming some much.  No one knows what new games will come out and other games that will change so much that you will might stop playing them.  The one thing I know for sure, I look forward to seeing what everyone else will be doing on their blog pages.
